The Sikavaara East and West licences were explored under JV with Rupert Resources since 2021 and hosts [10]km of the Sirkka Shear.
Sikavaara East is located 12km west along the Sirkka Shear from Ikkari. Sikavaara West is also located 20km down trend from Agnico Eagle’s Kittilä mine. Under the terms of the joint venture, Rupert Resources agreed a total spending commitment of CDN$5M to earn 70% interest over six years in two stages. Rupert completed Stage 1 with an initial $1.7M spent over three years and elected to enter Stage 2 for an additional $3.3M exploration spend. If Stages 1 and 2 are not completed, the licences revert 100% to Valkea.
Sikavaara East
Scout drilling confirmed gold mineralisation and in 2025 Rupert identified the same lithologies from scout BoT lines and diamond drilling that host the 4Moz Ikkari deposit at its 100% owned contiguous Säynä property (Rupert Resources press release dated December 18, 2025).
Sikavaara West
Located circa 400m east of Rupert’s Hirvilavanmaa Project where 2019 diamond drilling included intercepts of 38 metres at 1.4g/t gold from 52 metres in hole 119202, and 53 metres at 1.3g/t gold from 72 metres in hole 11920 (Rupert Resources press release dated March 16, 2020).
